The Lakefront Jazz and Blues Festival mascot's name is now official: LAKER LOUIE.
In honor of the great Louis Armstrong, the mascot of the Lakefront Jazz and Blues Festival has been named, thanks to Mindy and Tim Schatz. The Prior Lake couple submitted the keeper out of more than 50 entries received by the Prior Lake Rotary Club, sponsor of the upcoming festival. Mindy and Tim were awarded $100 and a Minnesota fishing license for the 2010 season, but have promised to practice catch and release if Laker Louie is snagged from the waters of Prior Lake.
