How much does it cost to attend the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
The Festival is a FREE event! Our generous sponsors along with the hard work of the Prior Lake Rotary Club and many volunteers from the community allow the event to be presented free to the public. Because there is no admission charge, we ask that you do not bring any outside food or beverages into the park. The Lakefront Jazz and Blues Festival is possible because of our sponsors, volunteers and the sale of food and beverages at the event. Click here to download the festival layout map. What is the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
The Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival is an annual jazz and blues music event to raise money to support the philanthropic missions of the Prior Lake Rotary Club, and provide a terrific day of music for the community.

Where is the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival held?
The Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival is held in the family-friendly confines of Lakefront Park, 5000 Kop Parkway, Prior Lake, Mn 55372. Click here for the map.

When does the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival take place?
The festival will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 1 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Do I need a ticket for the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
No. The festival is a FREE event.

Are children welcome?
Yes! The Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival is a family-friendly event. “Lil’ Louie’s Music Camp” is a special area just for kids with activities like painting, jazz dance, crafts and musical games from 1 pm-7 pm. The kids area will also include inflatables open from 1 pm-6 pm.

Where do I park?
The best place to park is in one of the shuttle bus parking lots that are available. Shuttle busses will be running from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel, (click here for map), Prior Lake High School (click here for map), Twin Oaks Middle School (click for map), Hidden Oaks Middle School (Click here for Map), Jeffers Pond Elementary* (click for map), and Shepherd of the Lake/Safe Haven* (click for map).

*these two lots will not be available for shuttling until 4 p.m.

NOTE: Parking in the park on the day of the festival is reserved and by permit only.


Can I park and walk?

What if I want to ride my bicycle?
Biking to the park is a great idea! There will be a bicycle valet area in the park (Click here for details).

Is there disabled parking available?
There will be disabled parking facilities and wheel chair accessible shuttle buses operating from Hidden Oaks and Middle Oaks Schools.

Where can I stay?
Comfort and luxury are closer than you think! Mystic Lake Casino Hotel offers nearly 600 spacious rooms. A free shuttle service will take you to and from the festival grounds. Make a reservation here.

Will there be food available at the festival?
Yes! Many vendors will be in the park selling a variety of festival food and beverages.

How can I become a food vendor at the festival?
If your business is interested in becoming a food vendor, you can apply here, or contact us here for more information. The vendor committee will get back to you with the specifics.

What kind of seating is available at the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
The stage will face a grass covered field and hillside. No seating will be provided so bring blankets and small foldable lawn chairs with canopy shade. Please do not reserve space with the use of rope, cords, tape or other materials. Festival organizers reserve the right to remove all obstructions that are not in the spirit of this open seating policy. This includes oversize umbrellas that may be blocking the view of other attendees.

Can I bring my pet to the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
No pets please. “Seeing eye” and “support” dogs are welcome.

Can I bring a tent?
No. Camping is not permitted in the park.

Can I bring my RV or camp at the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
No. There are no RV facilities, and camping is not permitted in Lakefront Park.

What if I want to make a contribution?

Can I bring a cooler with food or beverages to the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
No. The festival is a free event. All proceeds from beer, pop and water sales benefit charitable causes through the Prior Lake Rotary Foundation. Please, no coolers or outside food.

Can I bring an umbrella?
No. Unfortunately, umbrellas block the view of those behind you. Foldable chairs with canopy shade are ideal.

What if it rains?
The Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival is a rain or shine event and will go on regardless of the weather. Bring a rain poncho if necessary. If severe weather threatens, announcements will be made from the stage, and all activity will be halted until the all-clear is given.

Is there an ATM on-site?
Yes, there will be ATMs located on the Lakefront Jazz and Blues Festival grounds.

Can I volunteer for the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival?
We love our volunteers! The festival would not be possible without community groups and members donating their time. You can sign up online here. Volunteers are key to the success of the Lakefront Jazz & Blues Festival!

What should I bring to the festival?
You'll definitely want a chair with canopy shade or a blanket to sit on. Also, don't forget: Gov’t issued photo ID (proof of age for the purchase of alcoholic beverages), cash or credit cards, hat, sunglasses, sunblock, a ball or Frisbee and camera.

What should I leave at home?
Please don't bring oversize umbrellas, tents, coolers, outside food and beverages, or pets ("seeing eye" and "support" dogs excluded).
